WCE Families,
I just wanted to send you a quick update to let you know that despite
having an increase in COVID cases among our staff (10 cases) and students
(9 cases) this past week, we have had a very successful week of
instruction and learning. The WCE Staff are pros at pulling together and making
good things happen for our kids. However, due to the rise in cases, we have decided to "flip"
our Parent Engagement Event on January 25th, 2022, to an online event.
Teachers have been busy preparing packets of information on each and
every student to send home to you, the parent, on January 25th. The
packets will include your child's mid-year assessment scores and any
additional information your child's teacher wants you to know. We will also
send home a video link from each teacher for you to view,
which explains the data. The video will also offer suggestions
on what you as a parent can do to help your child reach their full academic
potential.
Please mark your calendar, and be on the look out for this information,
heading your way next Tuesday evening, January 25th. After reviewing the data
and watching the videos, please contact your child's teacher if you have any
questions or concerns about their progress. Your child's success is largely
dependent on our ability to partner together, as parents and teachers, to
support their continued growth and success.
In addition, next week is our Book Fair, which will be open to parents
during the school day, Monday - Friday at noon.
Have a wonderful weekend,
Mrs. Bolton
